Date: Fri, 17 May 2013 16:03:24 +0200 From: Tom Verhoeff Subject: 2IP15, exam resit, BPA rework deadline Message-ID: <20130517140324.GE10275@win.tue.nl> To: Active participants of 2IP15 (Programming Methods) [Email addresses suppressed] The score breakdown for the written exam on 17 Apr 2013 is available via the course web page at . There, you can also find some answer hints for the written exam. You can make an appointment with your instructor (see score breakdown) to inspect your work and evaluation for the written exam. BPA rework requirements are described with your submission in peach. * BPA Rework Deadline with Resit Exam * If you participate in the written exam's resit session on Wed 26 June 2013, then we are required to provide a new final grade in a limited time after the exam. In order to incorporate rework for the BPA assignment in that grade, you must submit your BPA rework before Sun 16 June 2013, 23:00 (also see peach). Otherwise, we will base the new final course grade on the old BPA grade. And, yes, in principle, if you did pass the resit of the written exam on 26 June, but missed the 16 June deadline for BPA rework, you could still complete the course according to the next paragraph. (Disadvantage for you is that there will be another insufficient grade in your records.) * BPA Rework Deadline without Resit Exam * For those of you who scored enough (at least 4.0) on the written exam, but who still need to do rework on the BPA assignment, the deadline of Sun 16 June 2013 is less of an issue. If you feel that you cannot meet that deadline, then please email me to negotiate a new deadline. This new deadline is self-imposed and we will set it for you in peach. It cannot be later than [Wed] 31 July 2013, 23:00, because otherwise we cannot guarantee that grades will be available in time for the meeting of the Examination Committee at the end of August 2013. Note, however, that we prefer an earlier deadline than [Wed] 31 July 2013, so that we can limit the amount of time spent on regrading BPA rework during the summer vacation. * 2IP15 in the Next Academic Year * Your current grade for the BPA assignment will be valid for the resit exam on 26 June 2013. But it will expire after that. Next year, 2IP15 will be taught in the Bachelor College as a 5 ects course instead of 6 ects. In particular, the large programming assignment will disappear. Students who will take 2IP15 next year, but need it in the old bachelor programme, will have to compensate for the missing 1 ects. Details are not yet known.
